Berkeley Dietary Keto While non-impact carbohydrates don't influence glucose levels amounts, they still contain calories (except fiber, which isn't digestible).  A person that eats a lot of non-impact, carb-containing foods still is getting all of the calories associated with the equivalent number of regular carb!  This fact is never highlighted in advertising for non-impact carb foods.  Total caloric intake still matters on low-carb diets.  In circumstances where a body has become too many calories, it doesn't need burn bodyfat.
